Sadly, one of my rings arrived broken. I was able to repair it, but the rings definitely feel delicate. The matte finish is nice, but it also gives the rings a nails-on-chalkboard sound and texture. I might end up adding a glossy glaze to mine. They look beautiful on the dining table though!

TAV Ceramics is rooted in the belief of crafting pieces that are made to last. The focus of our ceramics lies not just in functionality and simplicity, but also in creating designs that are timeless and can easily transition between generations. We are motivated by the aspiration to have our pieces in homes and restaurants around the world.

Tanvi Arora was born and raised in Dubai, UAE and worked for over a decade as an interior designer working primarily in the design and execution of 4 & 5 star hotels around the world. She has worked with various operators such as Hyatt, Accor, Marriott, Kerzner, Jumeirah, among others.

In 2018, along with moving 7000 miles from home, she also decided it was time to follow in the foot steps of the many generations in her family, and take the plunge and start her own business. Fueled by drive, ambition, and a passion for design, TAV Ceramics was born in 2019.

What started as a hobby, turned into a side hustle and has eventually turned into a thriving business with the mission to create a simpler, more meaningful experience with everyday objects.

Care instructions

We use a stoneware clay body that is fired twice for strength and durability. All pieces are fully vitrified and glazed with 100% lead free and food safe glazes.

All items are microwave and dishwasher safe **with the exception of the gold lustered pieces**. Unglazed bottoms are water and stain resistant but not stain proof. Please clean strong colored food from these surfaces immediately to keep them blemish free.

Pottery will crack if transferred directly from the fridge or freezer to a hot oven or microwave. Please allow for a gradual change in temperature to avoid thermal shock to the pieces.
